Why choose smart locks for your home?

In today's world when both men and women are contributing equal to the workforce and economy, the houses are often left unattended. This raises the issue of security around the house.

Old School Security System
Traditionally people used to safeguard their homes with the help of old school lock and keys. There wasn't much to it, aa it was really easy to get the duplicate keys or use a master key or even break the lock through a forceful physical assault. Even movies that were the popular media at the time 3depicted how easy it was for burglars to pick the locks by inserting a deformed hair pin in the lock and giving it a few twists and turns before the lock gave in and granted access to door it was entrusted to secure. Any house with a lock hanging onto its door  gave away the factual desertion of house. This acted as an open invitation for thieves and burglars as these locks are easy to pick or break through force. This generated a demand and creation of the locks which were a little more modern and sleek. They were installed in the door and did not give away the desertion of house immediately to the onlookers. However these locks were not immune to that replication of keys, use of a master key or physically violating them with the help of any tools as simple as crowbars and credit cards. They had a fashionable term for it “jimming the lock” probably coined by the movies of those times.

Introduction of Smart Locks
As more and more women join the workforce, a need was felt for better security of homes abandoned during the working hours. Industrialist try to profit by meeting the demands of public and providing them what they need. With the amazing advancement in technology when everything from wrist watches to cell phones, home appliances and bank accounts everything getting connected through the internet it only made sense that your security system should also be upgraded to to match with the modern technology. Industrialist step up to deliver the technology of security through encrypted keys which was so popular in the James Bond movies at that time. This made the availability of smart locks in the market for the common man possible as previously this technology was accessible only to the army and secret forces.

How Smart Locks secure our house?
Smart locks are made of a tiny system which is capable of identifying encrypted codes, and grant or deny access after matching input with the stored authorized access codes. These systems are connected to smartphone mobile apps through either bluetooth wifi which enables the system to send alerts to mobile phone and allows the users to control the locks remotely.

Why Smart Locks are Better?
If you are someone who believes in investing in technology for the sake of convenience, peace of mind and a better life you should surely consider getting smart locks installed in your house. Smart locks offer you a variety of features that can dramatically improve the security of your home and relieve the stress related to intrusion of your private property.

No More keys
Forgetting or losing your set of keys or fumbling through your back to find your keys can be a real stress especially during the rush hours ers when you are trying to leave the house as soon as possible so you do not get late for your office. Which smart locks installed you do not have to carry a key on you to access your house. Instead you can just memorize a pin code or use a biometric identification massager to enjoy keyless convenience.

Piration of Key is out of way
The encrypted keys either in form of pin codes or biometric identifications are harder to steel. Unless you write down the pincodes on a paper or a mobile device and it lands in the wrong hands, it is very hard to steal a pin code. It will practically take a James Bond level intruder to steal your biometric identification. Most burglars just do not have the capacity or skill set to perform such a stunt.

Different keys for different users
You can create several different keys for multiple users and give limited time access to them. Now you can let your dog walker and house help in, in your absence and not worry about them using the key in hours they are not suppose to be at your homes. This also helps create a curfue fo your teenagers who might try to sneak in and out of house in the hours they are not allowed to.

Remote monitoring and access
Since the lock is directly connected to the app installed on your mobile you can monitor who came in to house at what time even when you are not at home for several days. You can also create or delete the access codes if needed without being in physical proximity of the lock. This feature brings greater ease for the frequent travelers and parents. Need to let in a neighbour for emergency reasons like gas leakage in your absence, but you do not wish to give them a permanent access to your home? No worries, just give them a new code and delete letter when they are done inspecting the house. Also you do not need to change the locks every time a tenant moves out, simply change the access codes.

Back up batteries
Smart locks with backup batteries ensure that your house is secured and you are not locked out of your own home, even if the entire town faces a black out. If an intruder attempts to incapacitate your security by cutting out the power supply to your house, backup batteries of smart locks keep your security intact.
